Adella “Adele” M. (Rubis) Klinkowski, 93, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, December 14, 2016 at Birch Gardens in Chicopee. She was born on October 14, 1923 in Chicopee Falls and was a life-long resident. Adella was the daughter of the late Adam and Aniela (Topor) Twardzik Rubis. She worked at the Springfield Armory, Chicopee Manufacturing and Desley Fabrics. Adella was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus. She was a member of the Old Oxford Country Club. Adella enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends. She loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She also enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and taking trips to Canada with her husband. Adella was predeceased in 2008 by her beloved husband of sixty years, Walter J. Klinkowski. She is also predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Mary Padykula, Stella Twardzik, Frank Twardzik, Stanley Twardzik, Edward Rubis, Frederick Rubis, Joseph Rubis and Mitzie Twardzik. She is survived by her loving son, David W. Klinkowski and his wife, Annette, a grandson, Jonathan, a sister, Irene Horak and several nieces and nephews. Adella’s funeral will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 11 am. Her burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
