Albin “Al” John Radawiec, 88, of Chicopee, MA. died peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Al was born on October 11, 1931 in Springfield, MA to John and Agnes ((Dobosz) Radawiec. He resided in Chicopee, MA and this is where he met the love of his life, Helen Stefanik. He and his wife, Helen were married for 61 years prior to her passing in 2016. Al’s lifelong value of hard work began as a child and continued after his graduation from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After the Navy, he went to work for the former Monsanto Chemical Company for 39 years. What Al cherished most was his family. He leaves behind a son, Michael Radawiec of Chicopee; daughter, Janice and husband Wayne Masse of Granby; daughter Joanne Radawiec of West Springfield and daughter, Judy and husband Steve Slater of Belchertown. Al’s biggest joy was his six grandchildren. He will be forever missed and loved by Casandra, David, Matthew and Nathaniel Masse and Madison and Emily Slater. His family will cherish the memory of his kindness, patience and his love for his wife, children and grandchildren. Al’s funeral services will be held privately by his family and his arrangements were entrusted to Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home in Chicopee.
