Anna (Zagora) Kruczek, 93, of Chicopee, died on Friday, December 13, 2019 at The Atrium in Agawam. She was a practical nurse at the former Monson State Hospital. Anna was born on February 11, 1926 in Kolomyja, Poland. She was the daughter of the late Jan and Maria (Szkieczka) Zagora. Anna was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr. She enjoyed listening to Polish music and cooking. Anna was an avid reader. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Thaddeus J. Kruczek. She is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Vivian Kruczek of West Springfield; two nieces, Carol Carrier of CT and Katherine Vignaly of MA, a nephew, Dr. Michael Kruczek of PA and several close friends. Anna’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus School, 534 Front St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
