Anne F. (Kagan) Papuga, 98, of New Port Richey, Florida, died on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in New Port Richey, FL. She was a retired secretary for the City of Chicopee School Department. Anne was born on August 27, 1922 in Chicopee and has resided in New Port Richey, FL for the past 11 years. She was the daughter of the late Wojciech and Agata (Trela) Kagan. Anne was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a 1940 graduate of Chicopee High School. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Max C. Papuga, who died on September 25, 2000; two brothers, John and Joseph Kagan and a sister, Mary (Kagan) Stolarz. Anne is survived by two sons, Richard A. Papuga and his wife, Carmen of New Port Richey, FL and Henry C. Papuga and his wife, Lynne of Milford, MA, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Papuga, Jessica (Papuga) Yarrow, Katherine (Papuga) Meuse and Nicholas Papuga, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11 am. Her burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 or a charity of one’s choice.
