Arline M. (Karol) Pirog, 84, of Chicopee, died on Friday, July 10, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Frederick Kapinos for many years. Arline was born on November 30, 1935 in Chicopee and was the daughter of the late William A. and Anna (Janik) Karol. Besides her parents, she is pre deceased by her loving husband, Chester J. Pirog, who died in 1996. She is survived by her son, James Pirog and his wife, Mary of Chicopee and her daughter, Sandra Pirog of Chicopee; two sisters, Stella Doris Maybury and her husband Edward of Florida and Maryann K. Griswold and her partner, Andrew Kuczma, also of Florida; a brother, John Karol and his wife, Carol of Chicopee; three grandchildren, Dr. Laura Kosiorek and her husband, James, Brenda Choquette and her husband, Charles and Pamela Adams and her husband, Mark Hasbrok; two, great grand children, a great, great grand daughter and many nieces and nephews. She had touched many lives and was known by vaious names such as Smiley; Ma, Boch/Bochi Gram, and Choichi Smiley. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping and traveling. She was a participant in the Mercy Life Pace program and enjoyed her time at the center making many friends of the staff and other participants. A memorial service/celebration of life will be held at a later date.
