CHICOPEE Barbara A. (Winiarski) O’Neill, 76, of Chicopee, died on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was a retired shipping clerk at the Westfield Gage Co. Barbara was born on August 21, 1939 in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Steffie M. (Robak) Winiarski. Barbara was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church. She loved the beach, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved her cat, Pumpkin.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Patricia Carey and her husband, George of CA, a son, Thomas R. O’Neill and his wife, Christine of Granby, and her daughter, Cathy Covill and her husband, Bill of Chicopee; a son-in-law, Roy Coulombe of Maine; two brothers, Joseph C. Winiarski and William J. Winiarski and a sister, Susan J. Burgess all of Chicopee, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her former husband, Roy F. O’Neill Jr. of Chicopee. She is predeceased by her daughter, Debra Coulombe.

Barbara’s funeral will be held from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:30 am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Rose de Lima Church at 11:30 am. Her burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobola Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040.
