Barbara E. (LaBombard) Socha, 87, of Chicopee, died on Monday, August 10, 2020 at home.  She was an assembler at the former A. G. Spalding Corp. in Chicopee.  Barbara was born on January 12, 1933 in Westfield Ma.  She was the daughter of the late Armand and Victoria (Bielanski) LaBombard.  She is predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Socha, who died in 2007.  Barbara was a member of the Chicopee Senior Center where she donated her time and skill knitting hats for our soldiers and premature babies in local hospitals. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Theresa J. Hawk and her husband, Donald of Chicopee and two grandchildren, David Hawk and Dawn Hawk, a sister, Evelyn Moquin and her husband Raymond of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 13^th, 2020 at 10 am at Stanislaus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Childrens Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Due to Covid-19 face masks are required and social distancing. Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
