Christine R. (Drewniak) Kusnierz, 86, of Westfield, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. She was a ten year IBM key punch operator at Uni Royal, formerly Fisk Tire Corp. in Chicopee. Christine was born on December 1, 1930 in Chicopee and lived for fifty five years in Westfield. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Karas) Drewniak. Christine was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield and a 1949 graduate of Chicopee High School, a Pro-Merito Student and class secretary. Although homebound for a number of years, her sincere examples of faith, hope and love, were not lost on those who shared the simple pleasures of life with her. Christine is survived by her husband of almost sixty years, John T. Kusnierz, Sr.; a son, John T. Kusnierz, Jr. of Westfield, two daughters, Ann T. Kusnierz, of Westfield and Carol Ann Rickless and her husband, Arthur of Longmeadow. Christine is predeceased by four brothers, Frank, John, Raymond and Joseph Drewniak and three sisters, Mary Kelleher, Edna Chaban and Catherine Kelly. Christine’s funeral will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St. in Chicopee at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
