Delia N. (Mee) Sypek, 69, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born on September 2, 1948 in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Walter L. Mee and Theresa (Caricari) Mee Nascembeni.  Delia was a graduate of Commerce High School and a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr.  Delia, better known as, DeeDee, loved music and loved to listen to the radio and knit as well.  She loved to go out to eat and loved her scratchers. Delia is survived by her loving husband, Peter A. Sypek; her siblings, Beverly Sullivan of Wilbraham, Walter Mee of East Longmeadow, David Mee and Robert Mee, both of Springfield, Lorraine Vasquez of Springfield and Sandra Vanotti of Agawam; her sister-in-law, Alice Dowie and her husband, John of Roy, WA and several nieces and nephews and her cherished Pekingese, Lucky and several nieces and nephews.  Delia’s funeral will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center at 9 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005.
