Emily loved having holiday picnics as well as preparing her annual Polish delicacies for Christmas Eve Wigilia. She also enjoyed hosting her weekly Friday night coffee crew for over fifty years. During her retirement years, she drove her pickup truck around and made daily stops at Stop & Shop, Big Y, CVS and McDonalds where everyone knew her name. She was predeceased by her husband, John, her parents, her brother, Matthew, her sister, Helen and her grandson, Anthony. She leaves her sons, John and his wife, Kathy of Ludlow, Edward and his wife, Catherine of Chicopee, Deacon Jim Ziemba and his wife, Lucie of Wilbraham and Gary of Chicopee, 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Jim, Adam, Andrew, Nick, Alex, Ashley and Tyler, 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves her two brothers, John and Edward Rybak of Chicopee. In addition to her family, she leaves her best friend, Pat Maroney and many nieces and nephews. Emily’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St., in Chicopee Falls at 9 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am.
