Irene K. (Jendrysik) Wozniak, 92, a resident of Falmouth (formerly of Chicopee) died on November 24, 2017 at Heritage Assisted Living in Falmouth. She was born in Holyoke on December 20th, 1924, the daughter of the late Katherine and Stanley Jendrysik. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Stanley J. Wozniak who passed on September 30, 2009. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Edwin, Frederick and Stanley Jr. and by her sister Helen Falbo. She worked, full time, at the circulation department of the Wall Street Journal for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, decorating, golfing, skiing when she was younger and playing bridge. She loved to swim and go to the beach. Together, she, her husband and their friends enjoyed many years of both ballroom and square dancing.  While living in Chicopee, she was an active member of the Chicopee Falls Women’s Club and Senior Center. Several years ago she moved to Falmouth to be closer to her daughter. Irene is survived by a son, Dr. Stanley J. Wozniak, Jr. and his wife Lynda, of Clifton, VA; a daughter, Janice Kirby and her husband Terrance, of Falmouth; six grandchildren, Dr. Steven Wozniak, MD, Daniel Kirby, Patrick Kirby, Kristine Flint, Deborah Wozniak and Carrie Eder and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral home service at 11 am., at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, The burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Shiners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.
