James A. Shultz, 62, of Chicopee, died on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at home. He was a thirty year machinist at Industrical Precision Inc. in Westfield. James was born on June 16, 1958 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He was the son of the late James and Mary (Jordan) Shultz. James was a graduate of Paramus Catholic High School in Paramus, NJ and attended Asnuntuck Comminity College in Enfield. He served his country in the US Marines. James loved to play the guitar, watch football, be with his family, especially his grandchildren. James was kind, caring and stubborn. His family was top priority. He will be missed by his family and close friends. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Debbie A. (Socha) Shultz; two sons, Kevin Shultz and his wife, Christina of Westfield and Schuyler Shultz and his wife, Jody of New Jersey; a daughter, Jamie Murphy and her husband, Jeff of Monson; two sisters, Patti Aburnathy and her husband, J.T. of Pine Bush, New York and Barbara Hansen and her husband, Roy of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Emma Murphy, Hannah Murphy, Thomas Murphy, Jeremy Shultz, Ava Shultz, Jules Shultz and Adam Shultz. James leaves a brother-in-law, David Socha and a sister-in-law, Debora Socha, both of Ludlow, nephews, Ray Eastwood and Raymond Eastwood, of Pine Bush, New York; a niece, Brianna Usher of Fairlawn, New Jersey and a grand nephew, Tim Rowthacker of New Jersey. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
