James Edward Duncan, 52, of Chicopee, died on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Springfield on October 15, 1962. James was the son of the late John I. and Catherine (Drummatter) Duncan. He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Paradysz) Duncan, his two daughters, Shanon Duncan and Michelle Duncan, both of Feeding Hills; his sister, Linda Duncan of South Hadley, his mother-in-law, Mildred Paradysz of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, James is predeceased by his brother, John Duncan and his sister, Barbara Mattern.
James’ funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 11 am. His burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
