Jane passed surrounded by her loving daughters. She was the daughter of Anna Tryba Zak and John Walter Zak of Chicopee. She was proud of her many accomplishments – President of Lodge 702, and Delegate to Council 62 of the Polish National Alliance (PNA). She worked at FW Sickles, Hamilton Standard and Valley Opportunity Council for 36 years starting out as a volunteer in 1975 and retiring when she was 78 years old. VOC was her second family where she established many lasting friendships. She loved going on trips with her girlfriends, Chicopee Senior Center bingo, polka music and attended many polka festivals throughout her active life. If you knew Jane, she would start dancing and singing along whenever she heard polka music! She raised four successful daughters: Gail, married to Steve Berg, Karen Augustine Syner, Donna Augustine and Kelly, married to Stephen Kiltonic. Jane greatly enjoyed spending time attending all sport, dance and school events for her five beautiful granddaughters, who she loved so much: Katina married to Jason Keefe, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Lindsey and McKenzie. She leaves behind her sister, Ann Cabrini, sister-in-law, Pat Zak, many nieces, nephews, relatives and great memories with family and friends. Jane is pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Augustine, brother, Walter Zak, brother-in-law, Bruce Cabrini and nephew, Bruce Cabrini Jr. Calling hours are on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape Street in Chicopee. Jane’s funeral will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home at 9 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen, 170 Pendexter Ave. Chicopee, MA 01013.
