Janet J. (Herzieux) Comstock, 88, of Springfield, died peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at home. She was employed as a manager at Electric Coil in Springfield. Janet was born on November 26, 1930 in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Roland and Dorothy (Welcome) Herzieux. She attended New Life Fellowship Church in Springfield. Janet loved bingo and sewing and lived to help take care of others. She is survived by two sons, Richard Comstock of Agawam and Scott Comstock and his wife, Kathy of Windsor, CT; two daughters, Cynthia Field and Robin Black, both of Springfield; a sister, Louise Vivian of Springfield and adopted daughter, Susan Richards Race and her two daughters; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard S. Comstock. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:30 am to 11 am at New Life Fellowship, 80 Arvilla St., in Springfield, followed by a service at 11 am. Burial is at the convenience of the family. Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Janet.
