Jean I. (Trela) Rainville, 86, of Chicopee died Thursday,​ June 4, 2020 with family by her side. She was a life-long resident of Chicopee,​ MA.​ Jean​ graduated​ from Chicopee High School and​ worked at Savage Arms as a key punch operator,​ later​ being a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, watching and attending sporting events, especially the Red Sox. Jean’s favorite pastime was being with those great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Paul and Mary Trela (Pasek),​ Jean was a communicant of St Patrick Church. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert E. Rainville, her sister Wanda Wiater, her infant twin sister​ Irene Trela, and her grandson Ernest A.​ Costa. She is survived by her children,​ Daniel Rainville of Chicopee, Linda Costa of Monson, and Jacklyn Smith and her husband, Stephen Krulush of Swanzey​ ​, NH, along​ with her​ sister Evelyn (Lynn) Jones and her husband Hershel of Westminster,​ MA, grandchildren​ Tiana Boulrice of Monson and Adam Myers of Winchester,​ NH and​ great​ grandchildren, Gage Costa, Lucas Boulrice, Isaac Boulrice, and Lila Myers. Burial will be at a later date. Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
