Jeanne C. (Gravel) Stebbins, 85, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on September 6, 1932 in Ludlow and was the daughter of the late Lucien and Eloise (Neadow) Gravel. Jeanne was a former member of St. George Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Russell N. Stebbins, who died in 1995 and her son-in-law, Karl Haapanen. Jeanne is survived by her son, Russell L. Stebbins of Chicopee, two daughters, Carol J. Stebbins and her companion, Andre L. St. Cyr of Chicopee and Nicole D. Haapanen of Springfield and four grandchildren, Amanda Stebbins, Kaylee Stebbins, Linsey Haapanen and Shawn Haapanen. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 11:30 am, followed by burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are on Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
