John E. Haley, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 17. John was the son of Constance Haley and the late John E. Haley, brother to Sully, brother-in-law to Lorrene and uncle to Darcy Sullivan, and sister to Terry and brother-in-law to Michael Rzewnicki. Born and educated in Springfield, John joined the Air Force in 1975, went to Lackland Air Force Base then Hill Air Force Base. He attended Western New England College graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for the last several years for Cushman & Wakefield at the United Technology facility in Windsor Locks. John leaves many friends and family. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Baystate Medical Center, D’Amour Center for Cancer Care, and Springfield 3 Oncology for all their care and tremendous support. There will visiting hours at Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 69 East Street, Chicopee, MA on Monday, September 25, between 12:30 and 2:30 PM followed by the internment at Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in John’s name to the D’Amour Cancer Center to support cancer treatment and patient care at the Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01199.
