Josephine S. (Kowal) Landry, 100, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Wingate of South Hadley. She was born in Chicopee on January 29, 1916 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Salomea (Szelag) Kowal.
Josephine was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr. She was an avid gardener, loved to crochet and was a really good cook. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. Landry, who died in 1989, three brothers, Alfred, Stanley and Walter Kowal and her two sisters, Nellie Midura and Adele Domeracki. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Landry of Chicopee and many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the request of the family.
