Margaret M. (Zajchowski) Beliveau, 96, a native and lifelong resident of Chicopee, passed away peacefully at Wingate at South Hadley on Thursday, September 28, 2017. The daughter of the late Stanley and Irene (Shea) Zajchowski, Margaret was born on November 7, 1920 and was educated in Chicopee and a member of the former St. Patrick’s church. Her husband, Eugene “Bill” Beliveau, predeceased her as well as her two sons, William and Michael Beliveau and brothers, Lawrence and John Zajchowski. Margaret is survived by a son, David and his wife, Sharon, sister, Mary Zajchowski and daughters-in-law, Susan Beliveau and Suzanne Beliveau, all of Chicopee, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 9:30 am, followed by burial at St. Patrick’s cemetery. The family would like to express our appreciation to the wonderful staff at Wingate at South Hadley for her exceptional loving care and kindness that they showed to Margaret.
