Marie Ann “Lorraine” Brodeur, 87, of Chicopee, died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Willimansett Center West. She was an assembler at Mold Con and K & M Electronics retiring in 1993. Lorraine was born on June 23, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Armand and Alma (Saint Gelais) Dion. She was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne at St. Rose de Lima Church and the former president of the Aldenville Seniors of St. Rose de Lima Church. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Ernest Brodeur, Jr. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Ernest Brodeur, a son, Robert Brodeur and his wife, Christine, of Westfield, a daughter, Anne Marie Brodeur of Chicopee, two grandchildren, Emily Brodeur and Daniel Brodeur, her sister-in-law, Jeanne Turgeon and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Willimansett Center West for the comfort and care they provided for Lorraine. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Rose de Lima Church at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lorraine’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
