Mary (Lisowski) Kucab, died in Longmeadow on July 27, 2016. She was 93 years old. Mary was born in Chicopee on November 13, 1922 and remained a proud resident until 2010, when she moved to Providence Place in Holyoke. In 1942, she married Joseph Kucab and enjoyed a full and loving marriage until his passing in 1982. For Mary, being a housewife and mother was the best of careers as she greatly valued family life. She was proud to dedicate herself to her husband and son and to managing all aspects of their home on Auburn Street in Chicopee for 68 years. She leaves her son, Thomas and daughter-in-law Kathryn of Longmeadow, two grandsons, Timothy Kucab of Easthampton and Bradley Kucab of Medford, MA. Mary also leaves a sister-in-law, Patricia Lisowski of Longmeadow, a niece and several nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Genevieve Wojnarowski and brothers, Edward Lisowski and Teddy Lisowski and a sister-in-law and dear friend, Adele Pac. Family and friends may gather at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:30 am. A Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St. will follow at 11:30 am. Her burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory can be made to Providence Place, 5 Gamelin St., Holyoke, MA 01040 or to the Jewish Nursing Home, 770 Converse St. Longmeadow, MA 01106.
