Petrino “Pete” Angotti, 98, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 with his family by his side Petrino was born on May 17, 1920 in San Michele, Italy. His family moved to the United States in 1930.  He was the son of the late Michael Angotti and Maria Angotti (Graziano) of Springfield.  Petrino served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 in the 33^rd Coast Artillary Asiatic Pacific during World War II.  He worked for the Springfield, Armory, General Electric and Pioneer Valley Transit Authority as a mechanic for twelve and a half years.  Petrino was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Angotti (Robak), his son, Peter M. Angotti of Westfield, his brother, Iteleo Angotti of Springfield, his sister, Diana Quigley (Angotti) of Enfield, CT and his brother, Italo Angotti of Springfield.  He is survived by his sister, Maria Passero (Angotti) of Lockport, NY, daughter, Dianne Greaney and her husband, Francis Greaney of Chicopee, a daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Angotti of Westfield, grandson, Michael Angotti of Simsbury, CT and granddaughter, Lisa Angotti of San Antonio, TX and a nephew, Theodore Passero of Lockport, NY.  Petrino and his wife, Josephine were residents of Chicopee for 73 years.  Petrino enjoyed his retirement, years of working outdoors at his home, spending time with his grandchildren and family time shared at holiday gatherings.  A private funeral home service was held on Tuesday from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St.  in Chicopee. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
