Philip C. Del Negro, 82, originally of 44 Curve St. in Springfield, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Soldiers Home in Hoyoke. He was a bartender for many years at The Boulevard Lounge in East Springfield. Philip was born on September 22, 1937 in Springfield and was the son of the late Carmine and Madeline (Coughlin) Del Negro. Philip was a communicant of Mary Mother of Hope Church and an Army veteran where he served in Korea and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service.

He is survived by two sons, Philip Del Negro and his fiance Shannon Chiappone of San Diego, California and Michael Del Negro and his wife, Sue of New Hudson, Michigan, a granddaughter, Alison J. Del Negro, brother Vincent Del Negro and his wife Peg and sister Patricia Kmon (Del Negro) and her husband John.

Besides his wife, Barbara A. (Serafino) Del Negro, who died in 2010, he is predeceased by his granddaughter, Madison A. Del Negro, and brothers Carmine Del Negro and William Del Negro. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, there will be no public services at this time. A Catholic memorial mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
