Raymond P. Matosky, 81, a long-time resident of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was born on January 11, 1937 in Chicopee. Raymond was the son of the late Julian and Agnes (Story) Matosky. He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School and Chicopee High School. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War and served as a hospital corpsman with the US Navy and US Marine Corps. His last duty station was with the First Pioneer Battalion, First Marine Division Camp Pendleton, CA. He was a retired twenty-two year office manager for Transamerica Financial. He is survived by a sister, Ruth Parda. A private burial was held Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. A Memorial Mass will be said for Raymond on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 7:30 am at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus. Family and friends may attend.
