Robert E. “Bob” Czepiel, 68, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was a sales manager at Yankee Mattress Factory in Agawam. Bob was born on September 14, 1952 in Northampton. He was the son of the late Walter and Cecile (Wnenta) Czepiel. Bob was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr and a 3rd degree knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Holyoke Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting. Bob was a certified financial planner. He is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Sallie T. (Zietkowski) Czepiel; two brothers, Walter of Ludlow and Richard of Holyoke, a niece, Kimberly Phillips of Norwich, CT and nephews, Andrew of Ludlow, Richard, Jr. of Holyoke, Sean of New York City and Ryan of Southampton. Bob’s funeral will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. Those attending, please remember social distancing and to wear a mask. The family requests to have masses said in Bob’s honor.
