William S. Midura, 76, of Springfield, died on July 24, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was a machinist at Avery Dennison Corp. in Holyoke. William was born on May 29, 1941 in Holyoke and was the son of the late Peter S. and Charlotte Midura. He loved the Boston Red Sox and got to go to a Red Sox/Yankees game on July 16, 2017, a week before he died. William enjoyed golfing and bowling for thirty years and was crazy about Bingo. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Earline F. (Jackman) Midura; a son and three daughters, Daniel, Maria, Cynthia and Brenda; his sister, Nancy Pierce, a cousin, Robert Federowicz, two close dear friends, Robert Lockett and Norbeto Crespo and many close dear friends in Western Massachusetts. William loved his dogs, Angel, Rosey and Charlie. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Mary, Mother of Hope Church on Page Blvd. in Springfield at 11 am. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
